How to Convert and Configure a Controller as a Collaborator
Steps to Convert a Controller to a Collaborator
Access the System Interface
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your laptop, tablet or phone is connected to the controller's Wi-Fi network.
- Password: Tr@ffiCalm
- Open Web Browser: Open a web browser and navigate to
setup.trafficalm.com
. - The controller has to be setup as something before the Advanced page is available so go ahead and setup the controller as Push2Cross
- Once setup it will be asking for a password, at this point you will have access to the advanced page. Where to find the Advanced page is dependent on screen size. It may be listed across the top on a large screen of a tablet or laptop but on most phones you would need to find the dots or dashes and find it listed there.
Converting to a Collaborator
- Select Advanced Page: In the upper right corner, click on the 'Advanced' page.
- Change to Collaborator: Select the "Change to a Collaborator" option.
- Verify Changes: Confirm the changes when a popup occurs.
- Confirmation: TC Connect will confirm that the change has occurred.
Note: The system may take up to 60 seconds for this process to complete. This will erase all settings and disable the wireless and setup wizard.
Reversing the Conversion
To revert the settings back to a controller from a collaborator:
- Warning: This process will reverse the setting back to a controller from a collaborator by intentionally shorting Input 2.
- Remove Power Plug: Disconnect the green phoenix connector that is connected to BATT.
- Install Wire Jumper: Place a wire jumper on INPUT2.
- Power On: Reconnect the power and wait until you see the Red LED go solid for 2 seconds (takes about 7 seconds to initiate).
- Power Down: Disconnect the power and remove the jumper.
